The iPod Shuffle

The iPod Shuffle is considered by many to be useful only as a "second iPod", for use when exercising or engaging in other activity when there is increased risk of damage or theft. The lack of a screen and the low price make the loss of an iPod Shuffle more palatable than its much more expensive cousins. Also, many iPod users purchase the iPod Shuffle for their children, who may be prone to damaging or misplacing expensive toys.

The iPod shuffle has recently undergone a major change in appearance, and a reduction in price. Also, it is now available in only one size -- a 1GB model. In the past, the iPod shuffle was more than twice the physical size, and available in both a 1GB and a 0.5GB model. The current version is silver, £55, and a minuscule 41.2mm x 27.3mm x 10.53mm. It is the only iPod model without a screen, and features a clip on the back for easy carrying.
